Convinced of the advantages and goodness of the implementation of automatic meter reading, Electricaribe, a subsidiary of Natural Gas Fenosa, responsible for the energy demand of the commercialization market of the departments of the Colombian Caribbean Coast, it has acquired 16,000 S.P.I equipment s to cover a total of approximately 160,000 users of the service of energy with the technological solution that provides Vega Energy S.A.

Additionally, the SPI has a double purpose, not only it speeds up the process of detection, recovery and control of the energy losses but, it allows it to optimize its commercial management and considerably reduce the period between the reading that now will take place with the SPI’s remote and automatic support.  This technology will also considerably ensure a more effective bill collection of the energy supplied to final clients, obtaining major economic and financial benefits in the short term.
